Today we will finish watching Streetcar and then you will write a journal response assessing the differences between the movie and the play. You will conclude your journal by stating your opinion about the changes made in the movie. Did you like them? Why or why not? Due at the end of the period.
If you have a legitimate reason for today’s absence you may watch the movie at lunch in my room and write the journal during tomorrow’s class. Otherwise it’s a zero.
Research report due today!
Yesterday you guys finished the questions for scene one and then read scene two.
Today we’ll take up the questions for scene one and then move on to read scenes 3 and 4. There will be some questions for these scenes as well.
Scene 3 is a pretty important scene and it’s the one that we film each year so today we’ll make plans for performing this scene.
Today we’re going to finish our introductory note on A Streetcar Named Desire. Then we will finish reading scene one.

Your business letters are due today and your research reports are due Thursday.
Today I’m going to introduce you to the play “A Streetcar Named Desire.”
We will finish up the questions on the report today and then move on to composing a business letter to the creators of the Fourth R book club unit.
Today we’re in the library again to work on your research reports. We decided as a class the due date for the research report would be Thursday May 17.
Today we’re going to look at how to avoid plagiarism. We’re also going to look in more detail at the audience, purpose, and structure of a report. Then we’ll head down to the library where you can begin turning your research into a report.
