Awesome way to use TodaysMeet (which I've yet to find a use for). I can just imagine how this all played out in the CECI classroom--something I wish I'd had the opportunity for while there.

It's very much like the movie. ;) I have not tried to master the shuffle, but I will move on to that to build up my confidence. Thanks for your support!

Way to go, varied-interests-girl! I'm impressed, especially by the nature of this particular musical (if it's anything like the movie). Have you tried learning the shuffle via LMFAO? I have. Once proficient at the running man, I have some trouble even updating this simple dance.

Well said! I use literature circles in middle school. Although I need to model questions for many students, sometimes I go a little overboard and nearly pre-fill out their whole role sheet with what I think are important questions. It's even worse when the student gets upset because they had the question too and feel like I stole their thunder. It's tough giving up the reins. But you're right-- so what if they don't discuss that question? Will it really impede their learning and understanding of the book?
P.S. I stumbled upon much of your work while hunting down resources to use NING for literature circles. I sent a request to join one of your NINGs. If you have a minute, please reach out to me (senora.cromwell@gmail.com) or accept my membership!
Thanks for your insights! I hope my teaching future is as technologically advanced as yours!

I think it's good that we model this persistence for our students. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. ;)

Hi Danika,
Irony, thy name is blogging. My Monday Molly Musing today was about me playing Minecraft and being pretty horrible at it, but still trying. If this was school, I'd be on a Minecraft IEP! I worry that my less-than-stellar performance will weaken our team, but my colleagues have been so supportive, patient and helpful. Hang in there!
